Emma Stone at the London and Paris Premiere of Spiderman
The promotional tour for Spiderman is in full swing and there have been some really strong fashion statements from Ms.Stone in the last few weeks. These two looks are by far my favorite. Partially because they are more exciting and also because they are both all black ensembles. Sometimes i think theres nothing chicer that dressing head to toe in all black. Not only is it flattering but it seems to draw the eye to the details on the garments. The details are what make these two very different outfits work on Emma Stone.
The frist outfit is from the London premiere. Emma wore a V-neck Elie Saab bodice jumpsuit with Van Cleef & Arpels jewlery. I usually think that jumpsuits should be left way back in the disco era. However, this jumpsuit is so classic, simple and elegant that it makes me second guess all these years i have gone without one. Everything about it is perfect from the beading and sequins to the contrasting pin strip down the side of the pant, to the pop of color in the gold belt. The most amazing thing is the use of so many different textures and materials that make this look. If i would have imagined the tuxedo version of a jumpsuit with a twist i believe it would look something like this. I love that Emma kept it chic with the straight hair and delicate smokey eye and simple jewelry.
The next look is from her Paris premiere. Emma's look is heroin-gothic chic at its best. She wore an amazing Gucci dress, with Repossi jewelry, a Cartier clutch and Christian Louboutin heels. When i first saw the photos from that night i literally almost cried. I don't think Emma has every had such a big fashion moment in her life. Her Calvin Klein number at the Golden Globes, now seems like such a safe choice. I would have never imagined or expected something like this on Emma, but it works so well. The dress, if you can call it that, is something of a transformative piece of art, on Emma. In another city this might have been a miss, but on the most romantic and artistic streets of Paris, this is très magnifique. I love the thigh slit that is still somewhat covered, to the intricate veining on the shoulders and hips. Paired with the 1920's hair do and cherry black lips, Emma Stone literally looks lethal. I can't imagine Emma toping this memorable ensemble, but heres hoping that she keeps exciting us.
