Golden Globes Best Dressed of the Night: Charlize Theron
This was hands down the best dressed and overall look coming out of the golden globes. The minute i saw Charlize Theron in this Dior gown i knew that it would be best dressed. Everything from her sparklying headband to her classic heels were on point. This dress was beyond gorgeous but not just anyone could pull this look off. On anyone else the big bow and creamy pink color could have looked too girlish but on Charlize it was Perfect!!! I cant say enough about this dream because the pictures speak for themselves. This was number in my book for several reason. This was Theron's comeback and i was really routing for her, the dress itself is incredible, thirdly other dresses may have been pretty but this was a bit daring and not expected and thats what really pushed Charlize to number one.

Golden Globes Best Dressed: Color
These are the best dressed ladies who came out onto the red carpet and demanded attention in their sultry hues. These women choose daring colors but never once did these colors looks overpower their natural beauty. Starting off is Dianna Agron in a bright poppy red number by Giles. I would have expected to seen Dianna in something flowly pretty and pastel, but she stirred away from her past golden globes look into something sexy. The best part aside from the color of the dress is laser cut lace detailing that added a lot of much needed drama to the red carpet. Next is Emma Stone in a fuschia and plum number by Lanvin. Given her recent streak in green pieces i almost expected her to come in a green gown but was pleasantly surprised by her this choice. Love the shoulder detail, the deep v- neck that doesn't look too sexy and the of course the color blocking action on the sides. And then their was the hot pink Marilyn Monroe like gown by Lanvin that Natalie Portman wore. Wow i was so shocked by this gown that at first i did not like it on Portman. However once i really gave it a chance and looked at it again i realized that hot pink is her perfect color. The structure of the gown and the draping however are what make this a total win in my book. Lanvin really hit it big this year with gorgeous gowns on the red carpet.
Golden Globes 2012 Best Dressed:Neutrals
These are the ladies who managed to stand out on the red carpet without looking like a bumblebee. Although many may think of neutrals as bland this three ladies proved that going neutral doesn't have to be dull. Starting off is Kate Beckinsale in a creme colored Roberto Cavalli gown. This gown fit her like a glove, which isn't hard to do considering her rocking body, and still managed to be flowly and ethereal. The jewelry tied in perfectly with the bead detailing in the dress, which by the way was so delicate and perfect. Although Kate can do no wrong by me, this is one of my all time favorite looks of hers. Next is Jessica Alba in a taupe Gucci Gown. This color was phonemail agasint her tanned skin especially with the little sparkle the beading gave off. The shape of the dress seemed to work perfectly with Jessica's post baby body and i enjoyed the belt that turned into a train in the back. This Silhouette was not what i was excepting Alba to show up in but was a welcomed changed. Last but not least was someone who i didn't except to mention Ms. Angelina Jolie. I am by no means a fan of Jolie's, in fact i usually find her red carpet style boring and a variation of the same dress in a different shade of grey or white. However this Versace gown was still a neutral but with a pop or scarlet red. The asymmetrical neck and the structure of the dress was so refreshing to see on Jolie and the slit up the side gave it a sexy twist. I really hope to see Angelina in more daring and fun pieces like this more often.
Golden Globes 2012 Best Mature, Plus & Teen
This best dressed list is about the ladies who shown bright no matter their age or size. Many people may not appreciate the beauty of these women but i do. In the mature category Helen Mirren out shown all the rest in a royal blue Badgley Mischka gown. This gown was a sure winner because it was age appropriate without being dated or bland and was still sexy. The next category is plus size, this section never gets any love on best dressed list but thats a huge mistake. Octavia Spencer dazzled in a pale lilac Tadashi Shoji gown. I am so thrilled that more designers are reaching out and creating fun and fashionable clothes for plus size women that are actually flattering!!! This gown hugged Octavia's curves in all the right places. So often the few young girls who get invited to the Golden Globes either dress to frou-frou or to mature for their age. However Sarah Hyland proved it was possible to look sexy, fun, stylish and not look like a tiara and toddler cast member. This Dolce&Gabbana gown was perfect Sarah, it showcased all her assets and still was classy. It had the Va-V-Voom but i didn't find myself questioning her age. I loved the nude color adjacent her milky white skin, the black contrasting belt and the lace detailing. And technically she is not a teenager (21) but she plays one on t.v and thats close enough. Hopefully more nominees and presenters will take a cue from this ladies and step it up for the next shows to come.

Charlize Theron on the Cover Of W Magazine
Charlize Theron is on the Cover of W magazine for their February movie issue. Charlize Theron looks amazing as always in a Bottega Veneta silk and chiffon gown. I think Charlize was perfect for this issue although it seems she has been out of the movie making business for sometime she is coming back this year with several movies. One that i am particularly excited to see is Snow White and the Huntsman. Charlize Theron is the perfect balance of a movie star. She is an incredible actress, beautiful and has a great style sense which these days is hard to find. It would be unfair to note that Brad Pitt is on the sister cover for the movie issue, in Tom Ford. As much as i love Brad i don't love this look. The undone suit and messy hair just make him look like a hobo that magical found some gin and a nice suit. I miss the old clean cut Brad who always looked like a man standing next to Jen.
People's Choice Awards Best Dressed
People's Choice awards was held this past Wednesday and although most of the ladies looked fabulous there were three that stood out for me. Emma Stone opted to wear green for the second night in the row, but this time she was looking smart in a modern tuxedo jacket and sleek cigarette trouser by Gucci. Jennifer Morrison looked like quite the lady in a fringed lace dress by Oscar de la Renta. Last but not least was Kirsten Bell who added a nice pop of color to the red carpet in a lace and leather number by Valentino. I am a fan of Ms.Bell's and hopefully she will keep surprising me with more great red carpet looks.
